Primp your pooch, lace up your sneakers, and get ready to join us for Animal Friends' Mutt Strut and Mighty Mutts Dog Show!

Stretch your legs with a 1.5 mile Pooch Promenade led by our hosts Cris Winter from Wish 99.7FM, Steeler Brett Kiesel, and some of your favorite players from the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Soccer Team! Then shop at our vendor village, make a love connection at our Meet Your Match adoption area, say "cheese" at the Pup-parazzi booth, or try your dog's paw at the Mighty Mutts Dog Show. Families with children are welcome!

Does your dog have what it takes to win "Best in Show" at our first ever Mutt Strut Mighty Mutts Dog Show? This amateur dog show gives all breeds, mixed and pure, the opportunity to strut their stuff in front of a celebrity panel of judges. Westminster Kennel Club's got nothin' on us as clever collies and gifted greyhounds vie to win, place, and show in categories including "Best Kisser", "Mutt-liest Mutt", and "Most Stylin' Senior". Join our first ever Mighty Mutts Dog Show!

In addition to winning some great prizes, our Best in Show winner will be invited to next year's Mutt STrut as our lead walker and spokes-dog. Their likeness will be used in the 2009 Mutt Strut's promotional materials!

Big Lib is entered in the Stylin' Senior dog show category for the sexiest senior dog over 6 years old! I hope she wins, then next year, she will be the lead mutt in the strut (I'm not telling her she's purebred. . . she'll get a big head about it!)

It was a lot of fun. We got a bunch of free treats from Delmonte and we even ended up adopting one of the dogs animal friends had there!
    •  It's too bad the weather was so terrible, because I think that really cut down on attendance. We still had a fun time, in spite of the rain and mud. The Mighty Mutts dog show was a lot of fun. Good job, Nicole!

Yucky day, but fun with dogs was had by all! Congrats to all who competed in the contests -- we saw some very talented pooches!
    •  It was raining really hard when I arrived at the home plate entrance where we were suppose to meet. Only Tara was there and no one else showed up. It stopped raining shortly after walking to the park.We were to meet at K-9 Kingdom tent and they (the k-9 kingdom people) never came. I do not know who was there from the meet up group. If it hadn't been raining maybe more people would have shown up. I didn't see anyone with their red shirt on, either. I was disappointed because I went there by myself and thought I was going to meet some of the people from the group, but I didn't.

Loved it! The rain literally stopped as we were pulling up, about 9am. And as always, dog lovers were there -- dogs and ponchos in tow! The sun came out later and dried us all up, we had a great walk!!

Despite a gloomy forecast, we had a decent turnout, and all that came had a lovely time! The Dog Show was a blast. Cosmo is still glowing about her new title - Fastest Dog EVER! :)
