What is Puppy Kindergarten?
Puppy Kindergarten at Morris K9 Campus is built upon the AKC S.T.A.R. program. The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppysm is an exciting new program for all purebred and mixed breed dogs. In this course you will attend a required orientation (without your puppy) followed by five additional weeks of classroom instruction. Perfect attendance is required by the AKC in order to qualify for S.T.A.R. recognition.
In this course you will learn about:
General Puppy Care
Socialization
Puppy Problems such as nipping, barking, jumping up
You will receive:
Instructional handouts
Puppy Kindergarten Fun Kit (leash, and treats for class)
S.T.A.R. Puppy Medal and Certificate (obtained directly from the AKC)
Why You Should Attend
This course is designed to enhance your bond with your new puppy and to prepare you to effectively train your dog to be a well-behaved family member. We offer a low student-to-instructor ratio and a large, climate-controlled training room to enhance learning.
